AWR - Architecture Workshop in Rome - promuove un nuovo concorso di architettura internazionale che prevede la progettazione di una fattoria verticale ad uso residenziale vicino la High Line in Chelsea Meatpaking District a New York.
AWR - Architecture Workshop in Rome proposes "NYC Sky Condo - New York City Farm Tower", an international ideas competition of architecture for students, architects, engineers, and designers.
The competition involves the design of a vertical farm with a residential use and the related reorganization of the environment. The site area covers 1.432 sqm. The site area is located near the High Line in Chelsea Meatpaking District.
The building will include several functions and their connections:
• farm 40%
• mixed residential 40%
• commercial 15%
• services 5%
Services mean areas designed for sports and culture, administrative spaces, etc. In the spaces dedicated to the farm should be included laboratories, spaces for animals and crops, leisure areas etc.

+ 5 honorable mentions
Each winning project will be published on different scientific magazines and on several architecture blogs and websites, national and international. Winners and Honorable mentions will be published on the Website awrcompetitions.com.
