Da un oggetto all'altro / From one object to another

Which are the project steps that a designer using waste is presumed to follow?

SB - When using garbage, or waste, a designer is able to choose between two alternative approaches.

With the first, the starting point are “wastes”: the designer  watches them, sees what they can be transformed into, and conceives a new object, following the shape of the existing one.

The second path, on the other hand, originates from the demand for a specific object: therefore, the designer focuses on searching  pieces of waste that, due to their shape, composition and texture, would turn out to be suitable for being broken in different parts, to put them together in a new object.
