La piattaforma Arquitectum lancia un concorso di idee, chiedendo ai partecipanti di progettare un archivio dedicato ai progetti del periodo gotico. Un progetto contemporaneo che che reinterpreti lo stile gotico, da impiantare nella città di Barcellona.
Arquitectum, international platform and agency, announces Gothic Design Archive competion to design a new building to house the Gothic Design Archive. The structure should present a Modern or Contemporary interpretation of a Gothic Architecture. The Gothic design Archive will house a collection of historical documents or records and a host of information chronicling the Gothic influence on architecture, art, design, fashion and popular culture.
Objectives
- Reward quality design solutions that responds effectively to the specification of this brief.
- Encourage architectural design solution and ideas that best respond to the location.
- Generate both functional and volumetric contribution to the site.
- Promote the design of a structure that take into context the site and topology.
- Stimulate the discussion of ideas regarding the intervention and construction on such a site.
Prizes
1st Prize: US $ 2,500 / 2nd Prize: US $ 1,000 / 3rd Prize: US $ 500.
Fees
- Early Registration - 24th November to 17th December 2015 (Professional $80 USD, Student $40 USD)
- Standard registration - 18th December to 18th February 2016 (Professional $100 USD, Student $50 USD)
- Late registration - 19th February until 11th March 2016 (Professional $150 USD, Student $60 USD)
