Barajas Airport (Madrid): new terminal will start working from January 29th 2006

Designed by Estudio LamelaRichard Rogers Partnership, the new terminal of Barajas Airport in Madrid will be working from the 29th of January 2006, after a total investment of 6,200 million euros. It will be able to handle, together with the existing equipment, 120 landings and takeoffs per hour, receiving around 70 million passengers per year (twice the current number) [el mundo].
