Övre Gla Lake (Sweden): house expansion by 24H architecture

The house expanded by Dutch firm 24H architecture dates to 1800 and is situated on the banks of the Övre Gla Lake, into the Glaskogen Nature Reserve (Sweden). With the building area limited by law, a “telescopic” cabin was conceived, whose useful area extends, letting the house be suspended over the nearby creek. This foils its excessively organic shapes that, as well as blending into the natural environment, also come to life…
