The construction of the biggest building in Chile, the Costanera Center Tower, designed by Cesar Pelli with the local-based associated firm Alemparte Barreda Arquitectos, started on March 3, 2006. The building, whose development is predicted to finish in 2009, will feature 60 levels and will be 257 meters high [Urbanity].
