United Arab Emirates’ capital Abu Dhabi subscribed an agreement with New York based Guggenheim Foundation to open a museum of modern and contemporary art in the Emirate. The future “Guggenheim Abu Dhabi” will be designed by Frank Gehry and will rise in Saadiyat, a natural island in front of Abu Dhabi’s coast, due to become a tourist center and a cultural venue. The new 30.000 sqm museum is expected to be built in five years [BBC / El Financiero].
