Sono aperte le candidature per la XVIII edizione dell'European Copper in Architecture Award, il premio con cadenza biennale che riconosce il talento e l'eccellenza degli architetti impegnatisi nella realizzazione di edifici in cui sono presenti elementi in rame o in leghe quali il bronzo e l'ottone.
I materiali potranno essere presenti in qualsiasi elemento costruttivo, dai rivestimenti alle coperture, e presentarsi in forma brillante, ossidata e patinata. Potranno concorrere i progetti completati tra gennaio 2015 e aprile 2017 in tutta Europa.
Il vincitore sarà annunciato a giugno 2017 e riceverà una prestigiosa scultura in rame, oltre a vedere la sua opera promossa su scala internazionale.
The Copper in Architecture Awards promote and reward excellence in design by architects. To be eligible, all entries must incorporate cladding, roofing or other architectural elements of copper (bright, oxidised and patinated) or copper alloys, such as bronze and brass. (Note: Copper coatings or metals coated onto copper are not eligible). Shortlisted projects will be announced and promoted during June 2017, The Overall Winner, Commended projects and Public Choice Winner will be announced later in the year. All winning and commended projects will feature in extensive press coverage around Europe, as well as inclusion in a special Awards publication and coverage on the CopperConcept website.
The Awards are for recently completed buildings (between January 2015 and April 2017) across Europe, incorporating copper or copper alloy cladding, roofing or other architectural elements.
Entrants may submit more than one entry.
Completed entry forms, required documents should be sent to Copper in Architecture, to arrive no later than 30th April 2017.
All entries will be displayed in the ‘Awards' section of the www.copperconcept.org website.
Winner's Prize: a prestigious piece of copper sculpture to keep.
Shortlisted and winning projects will be widely promoted to an international audience.
Architects and critics - drawn from a panel including some of the most influential designers in Europe - will judge all the entries on their architectural qualities from graphic submissions.
