According to The Vertical Farm Project, in year 2050 the 80% of world population is going to live in urban centers, while the total number of people will increase by 3 billion units. This growth has to be matched by increment of land fit for cultivation. French architect Pierre Sartoux, with his design named “The Living Tower“, proposes the vertical farms as a solution to that problem [Inhabitat].
