In 1999 Leioa Town Council announced a competition for a preliminary project to build a Cultural Center with a theater, a library, a polyvalent area, an exhibition hall and some workshops for cultural area staff. Designed by Artigues & Sanabria Architects [arqa.com], the center was unveiled in september 2004.
